Practical training as an integral part of NetApp ASE certification
Fast Lane trains 100 Fujitsu engineers across Europe
Hamburg/Berlin, 9th December, 2009 – Fast Lane is currently carrying out the required training updates at Fujitsu Technology Solutions (FTS) for the NetApp ASE (Authorized Service Engineer) certification process. This involves the globally approved NetApp learning partner providing 100 engineers with knowledge and skills relating to the manufacturer’s latest hardware and its use.
With the current training unit, Fast Lane is following on from the successful NetApp ASE training carried out last year for the Fujitsu Customer Service Department. The ongoing high-end storage training for the company’s storage engineers is also being continued across Europe as part of the process. This training is an essential condition for fulfilment of the Third Party Maintenance (TPM) requirements included in Fujitsu’s EMEA contract with NetApp. It enables the participants to acquire comprehensive knowledge and skills regarding NetApp storage systems in highly practice-oriented sessions. Plenty of hands-on lab work is used in the training in order to prepare the engineers in a targeted manner for the challenges of everyday tasks at work, thereby having a positive effect in terms of enabling rapid and flexible deployment capabilities.
“We are very pleased to have an experienced partner such as Fast Lane providing training for our storage engineers,” states Heinrich Pätkau, Service Manager Operations at Fujitsu Technology Solutions. “Our staff are benefiting from the well-prepared training staff as well as the advanced laboratory infrastructure that closely reflects reality and allows training with realistic scenarios to be carried out for the use of NetApp storage solutions in live operations.“
