Fast Lane investing for the future with new appointments

16th March 2012, Hamburg/Berlin - The IT Training & Consultancy Specialists, Fast Lane, have made further investments for the future with a number of new appointments to help support an ever evolving organization.

Stephen Egri, Worldwide Operations Director

Stephen joins Fast Lane with over 12 years of experience in the IT Education Industry. Beginning his career in Ireland with a background in IT Management, he worked with an Independent IT Training company combining his technical experience with a focus on Operations Management. Stephen has also spent time at an EMEA level working for Microtek, a global learning solutions provider successfully building a network of delivery partners across EMEA while supporting business opportunities & initiatives further abroad. Since then he has also helped establish a new education and consultancy provider to the market Imparando, designing a flagship training facility in the city of London. Stephen will be working with the global operations organisation identifying and growing the talent pool of Instructors, SME’s and Consultants across our vendor lines to ensure we are delivering training to the highest standard.

Juan Rodriguez, EMEA Sales Director

Juan brings with him a wealth of experience from his previous role as Business Development Manager for Data Center & Virtualization at Cisco, covering the EMEA region. Juan was also the Country Manager for Brocade Communications Systems, covering the Spanish and Portuguese region. Prior to Brocade he spent two years as Sales Manager for Legato Systems. Juan’s main priorities will be to focus on driving sales across EMEA, whist enhancing Fast Lane’s relationships with new and existing technology partners.

Jane Simons, EMEA Regional Business Development Director

Jane has over 25 years IT sales and marketing experience and joined the Fast Lane team in September 2011. She has spent the past 7 years in a Vendor Business Development role for QA Training in the UK. Prior to this Jane ran her own IT Sales & Marketing Recruitment Consultancy and spent nine years as European Vendor Marketing Director for Merisel/Softsel, a global IT Distributor. Jane started her career in software sales managing Channel Partners then Corporate Accounts for Ashton-Tate/Borland. Jane brings a wealth of comprehensive experience in on-boarding new vendor lines and driving business forward.

Tom Story, Managing Director Spain & Portugal

Tom began his career as a software engineer in several multinational companies (Unisys, AT&T, NCR, SUN MICROSYSTEMS). He worked for over 15 years in the US before moving to Europe. In EMEA Tom held the position of Country Manager for the Iberian Peninsula for Stratus Technologies, a company specializing in computer hardware, services and networks. Tom´s role was to drive new consulting services across the South of EMEA achieving the first sale of a PS deals in the region. In 2005 he joined Motorola as Regional Sales Director, EMEA. During his time at Motorola, Tom helped drive 35% growth in managed services, training and consulting services negotiating multimillion dollar service deals across the EMEA region. Tom also worked at HP driving the HALO visual Collaboration Business Unit for the South of EMEA.
