You will receive a digital exam badge after you pass any version of the Fortinet NSE 7—OT Security exam. You will also receive a digital certification badge with the FCSS in OT Security designation.
To prepare for the certification exam, we recommend that you take the associated NSE courses. The courses are optional.
Becoming an FCSS in OT Security on October 1, 2023 Professionals will receive this certification on October 1, 2023, if they have passed any version of the Fortinet NSE 7–OT Security exam on or after October 1, 2021.
The expiration date of the certification received under these conditions will be two years after you pass the Fortinet NSE 7–OT Security exam.

Recertification
- If your FCSS in OT Security certification has expired, you must pass the Fortinet NSE 7–OT Security exam to earn active status.
- If your FCSS in OT Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to two years from the date you complete the following requirement:
- Passing the Fortinet NSE 7–OT Security exam.
- If your FCSS in OT Security certification is still active, you can extend its expiration date to three years from the date you achieve or renew the FCX in Cybersecurity certification.
- Passing the Fortinet NSE 7–OT Security exam recertifies your FCF, and FCA certifications if they are still active.
