Position Overview

As an Instructional Designer for E-Learning at Fast Lane, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective online training content that meets the diverse needs of our clients. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, multimedia designers, and technical writers to design and develop interactive and dynamic e-learning modules, courses, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with subject matter experts to understand learning objectives, content, and target audience, translating technical concepts into clear and accessible learning materials.
  • Design and develop innovative and interactive e-learning modules, courses, and resources, ensuring alignment with instructional goals and industry best practices.
  • Develop storyboards, scripts, and outlines that guide the development of multimedia elements, including graphics, animations, videos, and simulations.
  • Utilize instructional design methodologies and principles to create learner-centered experiences that promote engagement, retention, and skill application.
  • Collaborate with multimedia designers and technical writers to integrate various forms of media into the e-learning materials, ensuring a cohesive and impactful learning experience.
  • Conduct regular reviews and revisions of existing e-learning content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in e-learning technologies and instructional design methodologies.
  • Participate in quality assurance testing of e-learning content to identify and resolve any technical or content-related issues.
  • Work with project managers to ensure projects are completed within established timelines and budgets.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior instructional designers as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in instructional design for e-learning, including the development of engaging and interactive online training materials.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and learning management systems.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and best practices for online education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, multimedia designers, and other team members to create cohesive learning experiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with IT and technology-related topics is a plus.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous e-learning projects and instructional design work is highly desirable.
