New course in the Fast Lane portfolio, starting in 2009: Advanced Catalyst 6500 Switching (CAT6KS)

Practical training for Cisco's Catalyst 6500 platform

15 January 2009 - Cisco learning solutions partner Fast Lane will now be offering the course Advanced Catalyst 6500 Switching (CAT6KS) as part of its extensive training programme. This will allow participants to learn how to use the advanced features of the Cisco Catalyst 6500 switches, including virtual switching. The training session is mainly intended for network planners and operators who implement Catalyst 6500 switches in LANs and hence have responsibility for their configuration and maintenance. The course includes an extensive practical portion using dedicated laboratory environments with real equipment.

During the five-day CAT6KS course, participants will obtain more detailed system knowledge about Cisco's Catalyst switches. They will become familiar with the hardware and new features of the Catalyst 6500 family as well as their use in modern LANs and IP networks. Following completion of the course, participants will be able to successfully migrate existing Cisco networks and thereby fully utilise system potential.
