Course Overview
´The Internet of Things (IoT) is already today influencing our lives and will have growing impact on the way we live and work in the future. Different to classic product development processes, development of IoT solutions requires a strong emphasis on the holistic system view including economic and technical aspects as well as user needs. Additionally, companies have to address increasing market dynamics caused by the digital shift. To face these challenges several agile innovation methods have gained traction for product and service development, among them the Stanford method Design Thinking that stresses user and customer centricity. This 5-day training provides an in-depth introduction into Design Thinking and guides you through the process steps “Empathize – Define – Ideate – Prototype – Test” on the basis of an IoT case. Each day focuses on one single process step and participants will get to know methods by applying them in team work. At the end of the course you will be able to implement small innovation projects using Design Thinking on your own and to transfer the knowledge into your organization.
