Operations Bridge Analytics 3.x Essentials (OBA120)

 

Course Overview

This four-day, entry-level, instructor-led course offers technical personnel the opportunity to gain hands-on experience configuring Operations Bridge Analytics (OBA) to collect, analyze, and present data from a variety of data sources. This course includes hands-on labs that use version 3.0 of the Operations Bridge Analytics software. The hands-on labs for this course use version 3.01 of the OBA software.

This workshop is recommended for application or system support personnel responsible for the availability and performance of business services and the supporting infrastructure.

To be successful in this course, you should have the following prerequisites or knowledge:

Course Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Describe the components of an Operations Bridge Analytics (OBA) deployment
  • Configure OBA to collect from Business Process Monitor (BPM), SiteScope, and Operations Agents (OA)
  • Configure OBA to collect log messages from ArcSight Logger, Splunk, and Logstash
  • Use the Log streaming capability to collect logs.
  • Use the Search Tool to locate data of interest
  • Create a new dashboard
  • Create an OBA service topology
  • Use Search Tool to query event and log data
  • Configure OBA to collect data by using Operation Analytics data pipe
  • Create Analytics Query Language (AQL) queries and create customized dashboards
  • Use and setup the Anomaly detection to proactively detect abnormal behavior
  • Use the predict feature to analyze metric behavior
  • Use the correlate feature to analyze relationships between metrics
  • Define and manage alerts
