Course Overview

Learn how to configure, manage, and monitor a StoreAll File Serving Software Solution (v6.5 or earlier). Topics include how to successfully configure the components of a StoreAll file system, monitor file system activities, and perform basic problem-solving and information gathering tasks. The course is 60 percent lecture and 40 percent hands-on labs using HP StoreAll Network Storage Systems.

StoreAll system administrators

Prerequisites

  • Familiarity with Linux operating system and
  • Familiarity with NAS concepts is recommended

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course you should be able to:
• Describe the sequence of events used for data read/write operations
• Define the StoreAll network connections and interfaces
• Monitor cluster operations
• Perform administrative functions through the GUI or CLI
• Build a StoreAll file system on file serving nodes and export to clients
• Initiate file creates meeting desired StoreAll allocation policies
• Perform file system expansion of a segment and/or file serving node
• Configure and maintain NFS, CIFS, HTTP, and FTP shares
• Implement and manage native and hardware-based snapshots
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting procedures
